Following the successful completion of all required monitoring, surveillance, and response measures, Uganda has now been declared Ebola-free by the Ministry of Health.

This declaration reflects the country’s strong public health systems, coordinated national response, and the resilience of its institutions and people. The Government of Uganda extends its sincere appreciation to all health workers, partners, stakeholders, and communities whose dedication and cooperation contributed to this achievement.

The Government wishes to assure visitors, investors, development partners, and the international community that Uganda remains safe, fully open, and ready to welcome travelers and business activity without disruption. In this regard, the Ministry of Health confirms that:

• Uganda is safe for travel.
• Tourism, trade, and business operations are continuing normally.
• National health surveillance and emergency response systems remain fully active and vigilant.
• Border monitoring and public health preparedness measures remain in place to safeguard public health and visitor safety.

Uganda continues to offer a diverse and exceptional range of experiences, including the mountain gorillas of Bwindi, the source of the Nile, renowned national parks, rich cultural heritage, and the warm hospitality for which the country is known.
